Tell Me What you Think

My New Cute Shirt

I found this darling shirt on sale at Charlotte Russe and fell instantly in love. Even though I usually stay away from sleeves that short because they make my arms look big, there was just something about it that called out to me. But, when I tried it on, it looked very plain on me. No matter how many accessories I added, I couldn’t get it to spruce up. What a good opportunity for a fun project.

I got to work designing a make over for my new top. The problem is that I couldn’t decide which color or design to go with. That is where you guys come in. Take a look at my designs and vote(at the bottom of the page) to let me know what design I should go with. If you have any ideas to add, make a comment below. The voting will remain open till June 18, 2011. The final results will be posted on June 27, 2011.

Shirt One is Purple with a cream colored lacy shoulder and sleeves, a Purple ribbon running across the seem between the two fabrics and a purple flower on the left lapel.

Can’t wait to see what you end up doing. I too found this shirt at Charlotte Russe and instantly purchased it for my daughter because she LOVES anything Paris. She was thrilled with it until she tried it on and told me that it was kind of boring and looked somewhat like a PJ top. Maybe I’ll have to alter hers as well. 🙂

  3. Hmmm. Okay, I know it’s summer so this idea will not sound appealing IN THE LEAST, but I don’t think this shirt needs to be altered so much as I think it just needs a third piece. You know, like a cardy or a jacket. I’m thinking uber slim black pedal pushers, a denim jacket with the cuffs turned up and for a touch of color, some bright ballet flats and a corresponding scarf – a wee one, silk, like the Parisians wear, turned just so.

    • I like were your head is. The problem is that Every-time I buy a piece with the intent of layering I never end up wearing it and it just sits in my closet and gathers dust. Maybe someday I will move out of Florida and find a place that isn’t summer 12 months a year.

    definately #1

I vote #1 but I do like #4 also as i do love that color . ‘love the dyeing. I have on a shirt and shirt that were white. The skirt had a stain and the shirt was dingy. They are now a great shade of purple.

I was torn between 1 & 3, but I went with 1 – I think the contrast will help make this really special!
